I have about three different face washes that I use and I would say that’s fairly normal, seeing that I need different cleansers for different reasons. I would usually use a scrub to remove my makeup at the end of the night, a moisturizing cream wash in the mornings and keep a separate one in the shower. However, even with the scrubbing wash, I would still have a bit of left-over eyeliner around my eyes and foundation on certain areas of my face and I really hated getting that left-over makeup on my towel.
I was getting used to washing my face twice at times until I discovered Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin cleanser. I was spending the weekend away from home and I didn’t want to bring my regular face wash because it has a pump and I didn’t want the stuff spilling into my bag so I went into my sister’s bathroom to see if she had anything. She recently moved out but I thought I’d give it a try and I got lucky when I saw the face wash in her medicine cabinet. When I used it to wash my face that night, I was expecting it to remove just a bit of my makeup and as I was reaching for more of the product so I could use it again I looked up in the mirror and was surprised to see that ALL of my makeup had totally disappeared. Yes, even my heavy waterproof eyeliner.
This is my favorite cleanser at the moment because it keeps my skin clean, preventing breakouts, but its creamy texture doesn’t over dry my skin either. I can use it day or night and I know that it’s keeping my skin hydrated and smooth. The only thing I would say that is a bit of a drawback about this product is that it takes a while to work up a good lather. It works better once you lather it between your hands and then apply it to your face, rather than applying it directly from your hand to your face.
I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good makeup removing cleanser that doesn’t over dry your skin but leaves your face feeling fresh and ready to face the day, or your pillow.
