Can I please talk about these amazing shorts for a moment? I’m a huge fan of printed garments. In one of my previous posts I talked about how I collect leggings with different patterns and prints on them so when I came across these shorts with some 80s style geometric print on them, I knew they had to come home with me! These are 100% cotton denim shorts and it is very hard to find denim shorts that have a pattern printed on them. These just reminded me of something my older sisters might have worn in the 80s and it made me feel happy that I could own something new that looked so effortlessly vintage. Another thing I love about these shorts is that they have a high waist, which is my preference when it comes to searching for the perfect bottoms. I will say that they are a bit shorter than I’m used to but it has been unbearably hot out lately so I don’t see the harm in sporting some awesomely short shorts.

I usually like to pair black and white pieces with a bright garment for my pop of color and yellow is my favorite bright color so I went with this sheer collared top because I feel it also brings out the pattern on the shorts even more. This sleeveless blouse has been a staple for me so far this summer. I always find myself throwing it on because it’s so easy to wear with any pair of denim shorts, it’s super breathable so it keeps me pretty cool and the color just screams summer.

I went with these ultra high peep-toe platforms with this outfit because they just elongated my legs, which I always appreciate due to my height (or lack thereof). They are pretty tough to walk in so I don’t wear them often but they just really clicked with this outfit so I decided to toss them on.

I’m really happy with all the summer clothes that are trending right now. I’ve always loved wearing bright colors so I’m glad to see that other people are getting in touch with their bright side as well.
